About
The Edge Summer College Program at the University of Delaware is an immersive residential experience designed to prepare rising high school juniors and seniors for the academic and social demands of university life. Its mission is to foster a community of motivated scholars by emphasizing academic excellence, practical skill-building, and student leadership. Participants choose from a variety of college-level courses in fields like engineering, digital media, and clinical medicine, all taught by UD faculty. Alongside their coursework, students attend workshops led by admissions professionals to gain insights into the college application process and craft competitive essays. Living in UD’s residence halls, students gain independence through managing their own schedules and engaging in diverse cultural and social activities. The program provides a unique value by offering a authentic preview of the "Blue Hen" experience on a top-ranking campus while allowing students to accumulate transferable credits.
