About
The Global Health: Spain program is a two-week summer intensive designed for high school students interested in the intersection of medicine and international healthcare systems. Its mission is to provide students with a global perspective on medicine by comparing the Spanish healthcare model with that of the United States. Participants live in university dormitories in Barcelona and attend classes taught by Spanish physicians and university professors. Core activities include hands-on medical simulations in a leading Spanish hospital, where students practice clinical skills in a controlled environment. Beyond the classroom, the program offers a unique value through supervised cultural excursions, such as visits to the Arc de Triomf and the Mediterranean coast, to provide a well-rounded international experience. The curriculum specifically focuses on comparative health, general medicine, and global healthcare challenges.
