Stanford ACM
About
ProCo is an annual computer programming contest hosted by Stanford University’s ACM chapter, designed to challenge high school students with complex algorithmic problems. The competition lasts three hours and tasks teams of up to three students with solving between 9 and 15 unweighted problems. Participants can choose between two divisions: Novice (for those with less than two years of experience) and Advanced (for experienced programmers). The program's mission is to provide an engaging environment for Bay Area students and beyond to explore computer science passions through practical application. Beyond the contest itself, the event is heavily supported by top-tier technology and quantitative trading firms, providing students with exposure to industry leaders. It serves as a premier venue for young coders to test their skills against their peers in a university setting.
