Robofest
About
Robofest Game is an international robotics competition that challenges students to design and program autonomous robots to accomplish complex missions on a specific playing field. The 2026 mission, "Building Bridges," requires robots to perform precision tasks such as positioning heavy materials to improve safety and efficiency through collaboration with human workers. Unlike many other robotics leagues, Robofest is "kit-agnostic," meaning teams can use any robotics kit and any programming language, which provides a high degree of creative freedom. The program places a unique emphasis on mathematical skills, often incorporating mission tasks that require real-time calculations. Students compete in Junior (grades 5-8) and Senior (grades 9-12) divisions, progressing from local qualifiers or video submissions to the World Championship. Beyond technical skills, the program serves to inspire the next generation of builders and engineers by offering scholarship opportunities to top-performing high school students.
