About
The Wisconsin International Precollege Academy is a three-week in-person intensive designed to introduce international students to the rigors and culture of U.S. higher education. Its mission is to bridge global curiosity with academic preparation, helping students navigate the American university admissions process while developing leadership skills. Participants reside on the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus, engaging in morning and afternoon lectures, interactive workshops, and collaborative project-based learning. Core activities include site tours of various higher education institutions, personal development seminars, and cultural excursions that explore the traditions of the American Midwest. The program culminates in a final group presentation focused on Sustainable Development Goals, allowing students to apply their critical thinking and English communication skills. Ultimately, the program provides a holistic "test drive" of college life, fostering international networking and academic confidence.
