About

The Bay Area Debate Academy’s summer camps are designed to equip students with confidence, communication skills, and a competitive edge in the field of forensics. The program offers specialized tracks for various formats, including Public Forum, Lincoln Douglas, and Congressional Debate, as well as persuasive writing and extemporaneous speaking. Each weekly session concludes with a Friday showcase, allowing students to demonstrate their progress to parents in a formal setting. Instructors provide personalized written feedback and recommendations at the end of the camp to help guide the student's future development. The curriculum often utilizes upcoming National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA) topics to ensure that competitive students are prepared for the fall tournament season. By combining rigorous academic instruction with performance-based activities, the academy serves both beginners and experienced competitors.
