The Management & Technology Summer Institute (M&TSI) is an intensive three-week summer program that introduces high school students to the fundamental principles of linking technological innovation with management concepts. The program’s mission is to provide a fast-paced, college-level environment where students learn from world-class faculty at both the Wharton School and Penn Engineering. Participants engage in a mix of academic lectures, guest presentations from successful entrepreneurs, and site visits to prominent companies to observe real-world business applications. A core component of the experience is a team-based prototyping project where students develop a high-tech venture and a corresponding business model. This project culminates in a final presentation evaluated by faculty, seasoned entrepreneurs, and investors. By integrating engineering labs with business strategy, the program provides a unique platform for students to explore the complexities of technological entrepreneurship.
