Summer College – On Location offers high school students the opportunity to experience Syracuse University’s academic rigor in specialized hubs in Los Angeles and New York City. The program's mission is to provide an immersive, commuter-based college experience that bridges the gap between high school and higher education through credit-bearing courses. Students engage in industry-specific learning, such as visual storytelling at the SULA center or media immersion through the Newhouse School at the Fisher Center in NYC. By participating, students earn official Syracuse University credit, which provides a tangible head start on their undergraduate transcript. This unique structure allows students to explore career paths in professional settings while experiencing the lifestyle of a college student in a major metropolitan market.
