Today, we are beginning a new chapter. We are thrilled to announce that CollegeCraft is officially rebranding to Uni.
The Evolution of Our Vision
When we launched CollegeCraft, we began with a simple goal: to help students "craft" standout applications. We wanted to give students powerful tools that gave them an upper edge over the competition in the complex world of admissions.
As we've grown to support over 12,000 students, we realized our vision had expanded far beyond the application itself. More important than the final submission, we're about the authentic journey of self-discovery, growth, and the unique potential we see in every student.
Why Uni?
We chose Uni because it reflects our commitment to being the all-in-one platform for everything related to your university ambitions.
And yes, uni is also the Japanese word for sea urchin. That connection is meaningful to us: just as sea urchins are known for their distinctive spines, we believe every student has a unique "spike," a standout strength or passion that helps them stand out in a sea of applicants. Given the hyper-competitive world of college admissions, a spike is more important than ever.
What This Means for You
While our name and look are changing, our core mission remains exactly the same. Aside from a fresh new interface and a mascot you'll see more of, everything you love about our platform is here to stay:
- The same powerful application and essay evaluation tools that CollegeCraft offered.
- New extracurricular discovery and matching tools designed with your specific admissions vision in mind, helping you build compelling profiles long before applications open and develop the sharpest possible "spike."
- The same comprehensive database of colleges and activities.
- Your data is safe. Your existing account, progress, and saved data are completely unaffected.
We're excited to continue this journey with you. Our mission remains unchanged: to help you stand out and get into your dream school.
Welcome to the new era of college admissions. Welcome to Uni.
